Warranty
Warranty Policy
This Warranty Policy governs the terms under which RAZQUIP ABN 75 701 269 310 ("the Provider") offers warranty coverage on goods sold through our online store. By purchasing goods from us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out in this policy.
1. Returns
Goods purchased from the Provider cannot be returned due to change of mind. All sales are considered final unless the goods are found to be defective in materials or workmanship, or are otherwise covered by a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Warranty Period
The Provider warrants that all goods supplied shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twenty four (24) months from the date of delivery, unless a different warranty period is expressly specified for a particular product at the time of sale.
Subject to the rights and remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law, the Provider does not make any further representations or warranties, whether express or implied, as to the merchantability, suitability, or fitness for a particular purpose of its domestic product range.
3. Making a Warranty Claim
To lodge a warranty claim, please contact us at info@razquip.com.au or by telephone on +61 459 989 153, providing your order number, product details, and a description of the alleged defect.
All warranty claims are on a return to place of purchase basis. The customer is responsible for returning the goods to the Provider at their own expense for the purpose of assessment. Where the goods are confirmed to be defective, reasonable return shipping costs will be reimbursed by the Provider.
The Provider reserves the right to inspect and test any product that is the subject of a warranty claim in order to determine the nature and extent of any defect and the validity of the claim. The Provider's assessment shall be made at its reasonable discretion.
All defective parts or products replaced by the Provider under this warranty shall become and remain the property of the Provider.
4. Futile Warranty Assessment Fee
A futile warranty assessment fee of $100.00 (inclusive of GST) will apply to any warranty claim where, upon inspection and testing, the product is found to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, or the claim is otherwise determined to fall outside the scope of this warranty. This fee reflects the reasonable costs of inspection, testing, and administration incurred by the Provider. The customer will be advised of the assessment outcome and the applicable fee prior to any further action being taken.
5. Exclusions
This warranty does not apply where the goods have been rendered faulty, damaged, or non-functional by any cause other than a defect in materials and workmanship. Without limitation, such causes include:
- Damage resulting from misuse, including failure to maintain, service, or operate the goods with proper care and in accordance with any applicable instructions or manufacturer guidelines.
- Neglect, accident, or ordinary wear and tear, including natural deterioration of parts, accessories, and glass breakage.
- Use of the goods for any purpose for which they were not sold, designed, or intended.
- Unauthorised modification, alteration, or repair carried out by any person other than the Provider or its authorised service agents.
- Damage caused by environmental factors, power surges, electrical faults, or the use of incompatible fluids, chemicals, or operating conditions outside the product's published specifications.
Consumable Items
This warranty does not extend to consumable items, including but not limited to batteries, chemicals, filters, and globes.
Wear Components
This warranty does not cover components that are designed to wear through normal use. Such components include, but are not limited to, blades, cutting teeth, cutting discs, pump seals, pump vanes, gears, filter baskets, filter elements, pulleys, clutches, chains, drive belts, bearings, brake shoes, and brake pads.
6. Products Sourced Through Australian Distributors
Where products have been sourced through local Australian distributors, the customer is required to liaise directly with the relevant distributor to resolve any warranty claim in the first instance. The Provider will furnish the customer with the necessary distributor contact details upon request. This requirement does not limit or affect the customer's rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Proof of Purchase
A valid proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. Acceptable documentation includes your order confirmation email, tax invoice, or transaction receipt issued at the time of sale. Customers are advised to retain their purchase records for the full duration of the applicable warranty period.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition implied or imposed by any legislation which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider's total liability under this warranty is limited to, at the Provider's sole discretion, one of the following:
- Replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods.
- Repair of the goods.
- Refund of the purchase price paid for the goods.
The Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of profit, revenue, production, or business opportunity, however caused and whether arising under contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise.
